Chelona Creative Wooden Toys Chelona is based in Greece and their products consist of unique and beautiful wooden puzzles & games, wooden baby books, and sorting boxes. Customers comment on the quality of the design, graphics, and the general look of the product.   In 2007, Chelona moved their production to China. The owner of Chelona has moved to China to oversee production on a full-time basis.  The paints are imported from Japan and are tested every 3 months.  Additionally all products are tested and certified to be in compliance with ASTM and EN71 standards. Chelona uses FSC Certified wood, to ensure that the wood comes from sustainable forests.  The factory is ICTI certified, which ensures that it meets internationally recognized labor standards and work conditions.

The soft boy & girl dolls are a child's best friend.  Now they come with new accessories...for the spa, for the special occassion.  And, there is even a little dog that the dolls can take for a walk! This Austrian company has tried to design toys that engage a child's creativity, imagination, and engagement with others (siblings, friends, and parents).  That is why they have created toys that encourage "open-ended play."  Such toys include dolls, puppets, wash cloth puppets, etc. Some of the baby products are made with Oko-Tex certified textiles to ensure that there are no dangerous chemical residues in the dolls. These products are priced very competitively and reorders are a certainty.   Furnis products are made in China & Sri Lanka (mobiles, aprons, Furnis Dolls, and some of the clothes), and meet ASTM and EN71 standards.

Kallisto Stuffed Animals NEW FOR 2007!  Made in Germany with 100% natural organic cotton, and filled with pure wool, the production process of these adorable stuffed animals is impeccable.  The organic cotton is certified by international organic organizations.  These products will set your store above the rest. Where possible, Kallisto uses homeworkers to sew these animals.  Additionally, the owner, Brigitte Schulz lovingly finishes each face, herself!  Your customers will fall in love with these fairly traded stuffed animals.  Kallisto products meet EN71 standards. The organic cotton is sourced from Egypt.

Keptin-Jr. The Keptin-Jr. cuddle dolls are made of all natural materials (cotton) and filled with pure wool.  All the Keptin-Jr dolls are made with organic cotton, filled with pure wool.  The organic cotton is mostly sourced from Egypt. The dyes are environmentally friendly and completely safe.  For those that want to avoid dyes altogether, some of the dolls are made with natural brown cotton (as seen in this picture). Some dolls do not have faces.  This is to allow the child to use their imagination to create the face of their choice, which can change at any time. All Keptin-Jr products are made in Lithuania.  Keptin-Jr products are in compliance with ASTM and EN71 safety standards.

LANA Lana's design is unmistakable, nor unforgetable.  These animals will enchant parents and children alike.  Made from 100% organic cotton and filled with pure wool, Lana animals are fairly traded, manufactured in Lithuania, Turkey, & Poland.  Lana often works with European homeworkers in their production process.   The organic cotton is sourced from Turkey. Lana animals meet ASTM & EN71 safety standards.

TJ Whitneys Traditional Toys This beautiful line of vintage toys has been developed by Janice Prittie, in Canada.  It features wooden blocks, and other "carded" games, such as flash cards, memory, nesting blocks, etc.  She has also developed a very nice range of products featuring artwork by Jessie Wilcox Smith, including greeting cards, and stretched canvas artwork for home decor. These products are made in China, and meet ASTM  standards.  The wood products use farm forested basswood.  The carded games utilize recycled material in the middle, with the artwork being printed on new paper.

Challenge & Fun In addition to distributing other company's products, we have 2 products that we manufacture.  Our Labyrinth Balance Board & Labyrinth Balance Board, Jr. are made here in the USA.  You can find them in the "Active Play" section. Beginning in fall 2008 the balance boards will be made with FSC certified sustainable wood. (Wood used prior to the FSC wood, was sourced in Europe, so we are confident it was also sustainably harvested, but now we have taken this extra step) The balance boards are certified to meet ASTM & EN71 safety standards.

SINA Spielzeug Colorful, creative blocks, including "Froebel Gifts" and other educational manipulatives. Sina Spielzeug is based in Neuhausen Germany where they manufacture their products.  The range of products offered by Sina are some of the most interesting, high quality wooden toys in the world (really!).   Sina products meet ASTM & EN71 safety standards. Sina uses wood grown in the EU, which regulates the forestry industry to ensure sustainable practices.
